Many visitors feel Negril embodies the spirit of "Irie" better than anywhere else on the island. It was originally "founded" by hippies and flower children and remains carefree and laid back today. Since no buildings can be built higher than a coconut tree, even the most modern, all inclusive resorts don't detract from the small village atmosphere. It's this relaxed attitude that's made Negril a Spring Break destination.

Negril's famous 7 mile beach is a relaxed place to spend your days. After you've soaked up plenty of rays, just walk down the beach to find bars, restaurants and shopping. Sunset party cruises along Long Bay's cliffs, a trip to view the coral reef, an afternoon snorkeling at Booby Cay or a trip to Rick's Cafe for clifftop diving make Jamaica's westernmost escape a top pick for repeat visitors.
