Ocho Rios

Ocho Rios is Jamaica's main cruise ship destination. As such, the town boasts plenty of shopping and restaurants. When the ships dock, craftsmen, taxi drivers and vendors compete to be the first to offer their wares or services to cruise passengers.

Perhaps the most famous of Jamaica's attractions, Dunns River Falls is just west of town. The Falls drop 600 feet to the seacoast in a series of cascades. The series of waterfalls gush from lush, wooded limestone cliffs along a ridge and the tradition is to climb them. About a mile down the road, is a smaller, less crowded waterfall.

Aside from scaling the falls, Turtle Beach and Mallards Beach offer strands of fine white sand for daytime fun, while the sound of reggae herald the night.
